Classic Car Auction Set for August 30-31

Anglia Car Auctions is gearing up for a two-day sale event, featuring an impressive array of classic vehicles. The auction, scheduled for August 30-31, will offer a diverse selection of city-runabouts, grand tourers, sports cars, and motorcycles.

One of the highlights of the auction is a collection of British Fords, including numerous models and at least two rare Mk2 Estates. Among the Ford offerings is a 2001 Ford Focus Zetec with only 2237 miles, estimated to sell for between £3750 and £4750. Another notable Ford is a 1991 Mk5 Escort L.

There are also at least 17 Rovers spanning the generations, with approximately 275 classic cars in total being auctioned. Some of the unique Rovers include at least seven Morris Minors, four of which are Travellers.

German models are well-represented in the auction catalogue, with a 1961 Borgward P100 and a 1961 DKW F11 Junior up for grabs. The Borgward P100, estimated to sell for £12,000-£15,000, is a rare find, while the DKW F11 Junior, with a right-hand drive configuration and an estimated value of £6000-£8000, is another interesting offering.

Italian sports cars are also featured, with at least two Lancia Beta Spiders being auctioned. Additionally, a 1979 X1/9 is on the auction block, with an estimated value of £10,000-£15,000.

French vehicles include a Peugeot 309 GTI from 1991, with an estimated value of £6000-£8000, and a Renault 11 TL with no reserve. The Renault 11 TL is joined by a rare Fuego Turbo, estimated to sell for £2750-£3750.

British classics such as a 1969 Fiat 124 Sport and a Mk2 Mini Cooper S are also being auctioned, with estimated values of £7000-£9000 and £20,000-£25,000, respectively. A 1999 Z3M Coupe by BMW, with an estimated value of £25,000, and a 2002 Fiesta Flight covered just 235 miles, with an estimated value of £8000-£10,000, round out the impressive lineup.

The auction will also feature a variety of additional lots, including a modified Toyota Hi-Lux, an Aston Martin DBS 6, various commercials, a Smart Crossblade, and a bright orange Mini Moke.
