Production Model and Future Design Approach Previewed in Audi Concept C
In a bold move, Audi has unveiled the Concept C, a full-electric two-seater that offers a glimpse into the brand's future design philosophy. The new concept car, presented by Audi CEO Gernot Döllner, marks a momentous departure in the brand's history, as the company focuses on setting benchmarks in design and quality.
The Concept C reinterprets Audi's brand history, combining the advantages of a convertible with the essence of a monolithic body form in its roof concept. The electrically retractable hardtop on a roadster is a first for Audi, adding to the car's unique appeal.
The proportions of the Concept C result from its central battery architecture, making it approximately 4.50 meters long, just under 2 meters wide, and less than 1.30 meters high. This radical reduction to the essentials is evident in the car's design, which emphasizes clarity, technology, intelligence, and emotion.
The interior of the Concept C is characterized by high-quality materials, minimalist design, and an intuitive and emotional user experience. The round steering wheel with haptic elements serves as the center of the user experience, while aluminum anodized switches and buttons provide a tactile operating feel with mechanical quality. Indirect ambient lighting with natural light temperatures highlights the materials, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The interaction points in the Concept C are placed exactly where users expect them, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. The deployable 10.4-inch display provides all relevant information intuitively, situationally, and contextually, further enhancing the user experience.
The Concept C's new brand face is shaped by an individual light signature consisting of four elements. This new light signature, along with the four horizontally arranged elements in each front headlight and rear light, introduces a fresh and modern look for the Audi brand.
The operating concept and displays in the Concept C are centrally placed for clarity and precision in operation. This centralized design, combined with the intuitive user experience, appeals to all senses with its seamless integration of intelligent technologies.
The Concept C offers a vision for a future production model and will inspire other models within the Audi lineup. Audi CEO Gernot Döllner emphasized the company's commitment to implementation, stating that the Concept C is more than just a concept car; it represents a new beginning for Audi, focusing on clarity, focus, and commitment to implementation.
The unveiling of the Concept C took place in Milan and at the IAA MOBILITY 2025 in Munich, signaling Audi's commitment to innovation and electrification. The Concept C is a testament to Audi's dedication to pushing the boundaries of design and technology, paving the way for a more sustainable and technologically advanced future.
