In a significant move for the sports betting industry, the National Football League (NFL) has announced a partnership with bwin España, making the latter the NFL's Official Sports Betting Partner in Spain. This marks the third such tie-up for bwin, following successful collaborations in Germany and Austria.

The partnership, set to make its debut at a game between the Washington Commanders and the Miami Dolphins at Madrid's Bernabeú Stadium on September 16, grants bwin the right to launch exclusive NFL activations, special promotions, and personalized content. Brett Gosper, NFL Head of Europe and APAC, expressed his delight about the partnership, stating that it aims to create unique and exciting experiences for the NFL's growing fan base in Spain.

Curry Sloan, Managing Director for Canada, Iberia, and Latin America at bwin, echoed this sentiment, saying that the partnership will bring fans in Spain closer to the action. The appointment was announced on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Flutter, bwin's parent company, also made headlines this week as its Paddy Power brand was named the NFL's Official Sportsbook Partner in the UK and Ireland. This move further solidifies Flutter's position in the NFL's growing portfolio, with Entain considering both deals as key markets in its expanding NFL portfolio.

The NFL is hosting its first-ever regular season game in Madrid's Bernabeú Stadium, a historic event that is expected to attract a large crowd of football enthusiasts. The partnership between the NFL and bwin España is poised to add an extra layer of excitement to this highly anticipated event.

However, at the time of writing, the search results do not provide information about the manager of bwin in Canada, Iberia, and Latin America who entered into the partnership agreement with the NFL in Spain.

This news comes as the NFL continues to expand its presence in Europe, with the league looking to tap into the growing interest in American football across the continent. The partnership between the NFL and bwin España is a testament to this growing interest and the potential for further collaboration between the sports industry and the betting sector.
