Prominent Personalities Kick-Off Events

On Tuesday, September 17th, a unique event is set to take place at the sports facility of VfL Benrath on Karl-Hohmann-Straße. The 1st team of TSV Urdenbach will square off against the Traditionsmannschaft of Fortuna Düsseldorf in a vintage football match.

The match will kick off at 3 PM on the artificial turf pitch, which has recently received a new surface. The venerable club hall on Kammerathsfeldstraße, renovated to shine in new splendor thanks to the generous subsidies provided by the "Wohlfahrtspflege NRW" foundation, will serve as the venue for the official anniversary celebration on September 14th.

The summer festival, scheduled for September 7th at the sports facility on Woermannstraße, promises a day of fun for all ages. For children, there will be a large bouncy castle, face painting, and a goal-kicking contest. Adults can enjoy live music from DJ Snake, while the day's events will commence at 1 PM and continue until 8 PM.

In addition to the football match, the summer festival will feature an auction offering Fortuna treasures that cannot be bought in a store. Ticket prices for the tribune are 12 euros, with free seating, and standing adult tickets cost 8 euros. Reduced tickets (for children under 18 years and students with valid student ID) cost 5 euros.

Notable attendees include Mayor Thomas Geisel, City Director Burkhard Hintzsche, representatives of the Düsseldorf city council parties and administration, as well as the city sports association. Gerd Zewe, Egon Köhnen, and Robert Niestroy are among those who have confirmed their attendance.

Fortuna Düsseldorf will bring their complete professional squad (excluding injured players) to the match. The name of the person who will referee the football match is not publicly available.
