Proposal for a directive on safeguarding workers from hazards caused by ionizing radiation is among the requests given to the Commission.

The Lippe Police are set to offer a free E-bike safety seminar in September 2025, aimed at promoting safe and responsible E-bike usage on the roads. The seminar, which will take place at the police premises in Waldweg 20, 32760 Detmold, consists of two parts on September 3rd and September 11th, 2025, each lasting from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

Participants are required to bring their own E-bike and helmet for the practical exercises that will be conducted during the seminar. The theoretical part of the seminar will discuss various aspects of traffic safety, including requirements for a traffic-safe bicycle, the importance of a bicycle helmet, and visibility in road traffic.

Basic riding techniques, such as the correct way to mount and dismount, and safe braking, will also be covered in the theoretical part. The second part of the seminar focuses on a group ride, addressing problematic traffic situations in the area and discussing correct behavior on an E-bike in road traffic, such as behavior at traffic lights and pedestrian crossings.

Registration for the seminar is mandatory and can be made by phone at 05231 609 4012 (Mo. - Fr. from 8 - 12 Uhr) or by email at [email protected]. Participation in both dates of the course is required for the successful training program.

For press inquiries, please contact Dr. Laura Merks at 05231 / 609 - 5050, fax: 05231 / 609-5095, or email [email protected]. The contact details for the Press Office are available on the official Lippe Police website at https://lippe.polizei.nrw/.

The Lippe Police Press Office can also be contacted for press inquiries, with Nina Ehm acting as the press spokeswoman. The seminar is a great opportunity for E-bike enthusiasts to learn more about safe and responsible usage, promoting a safer road environment for all users.
