The city of Oranienburg is gearing up for its mayoral election on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Here's what you need to know about the voting process and the candidates.
Election Details
The election office recommends using in-person voting early, as longer waiting times may occur in the days leading up to election Sunday. Eligible voters have been able to cast their vote by mail or in person at the election office since September 1. Voting in person at the election office is possible until September 19 at 6:00 PM.
The election office will send the mail-in ballot by post if an application is made. You can still submit an application for a mail-in ballot online, by mail, fax, or email. Voting Location and Accessibility
The address for the election office is Stadthaus, House 1, Room 1.118, Goepelstraße 38. All counters for in-person voting are barrier-free.
The election office hours for in-person voting remain as follows: Mondays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM; Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM; Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM; Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM; and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (until 6:00 PM on September 19).
Candidates
The candidates for the mayoral election on September 21, 2025, in Oranienburg are Jennifer Collin-Feeder (SPD), Rick Grothe (Die PARTEI), Alexander Laesicke (independent, incumbent mayor), Sascha Mielke (independent), Stefanie Rose (DIE LINKE), Anja Waschkau (AfD), and Heiko Wolfgang Zillmann (independent).
