Proposal sought for a worker radiation protection directive by the Commission, addressing occupational risks from ionizing radiation exposure.
The Fire Department Hannover responded to a fire in the Waldwinkel allotment colony around 16:30, where a larger tree and two garden sheds were engulfed in flames.
Upon arrival, firefighters found that the fire had already spread from the tree to one of the wooden garden sheds. To contain the blaze, they used portable ladders and handheld hoses, managing to bring the fire in the roof of the second garden shed under control. As all windows and doors were equipped with grilles, the fire was extinguished from the outside.
Regrettably, the first garden shed was completely destroyed, while the second garden shed suffered severe damage to the roof.
Additional forces were requested due to the fire's threat to spread to a solidly built garden shed in a neighboring plot. The incident commander announced "fire out" at 17:40.
During the extinguishing operations, something resembling a person was spotted in a bed in the attic of one of the garden sheds. However, upon further investigation, it was found that there was no person present.
The police have initiated investigations into the cause of the fire, and as of now, no statements can be made about the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
