In the Landkreis Landshut district, visitors are required to make appointments for most offices, with a few exceptions. As of December 3, 2024, the Landkreis Landshut district office necessitates prior appointments for visitors, except for the vehicle registration office (Kfz-Zulassungsstelle) in Landshut, which does not require prior registration on that day. No information about exceptions for authorities in Ergolding, Rottenburg, or Vilsbiburg was found.

For personal business, the Foreigners' Office primarily requests appointments to be made by email. Citizens are also encouraged to contact the responsible caseworker for specific matters. Contrary to the Foreigners' Office, no appointments are necessary for visits to the Vehicle Registration Offices in Rottenburg and Vilsbiburg.

Visitors at the Vehicle Registration Office do not require an appointment and are called by an assigned number. Citizens can make appointments for visits to the Vehicle Registration Offices in Vilsbiburg by calling Landshut 0871 408-5895 or 408-5897.

The district authority continues to operate by appointment for most offices, except for Vehicle Registration Offices. The Vehicle Registration Office in Ergolding is located in the TÜV Building, which was not mentioned in the previous paragraphs.

Access restrictions in the counter and waiting area still apply at the Vehicle Registration Offices in Rottenburg and Vilsbiburg, with signs posted. Citizens can still contact the city and county offices via telephone, email, or post for their concerns. The contact information for the city and county offices can be found on their respective websites.

Citizens are also encouraged to use the online services of the Vehicle Registration Offices to minimise physical visits. The Foreigners' Office can be contacted via email to the central address: [email protected].
