Proposed Initiative by the Committee
On July 27, a panel discussion focused on youth participation and Europe's future will take place in the large meeting hall of Detmold Town Hall. This event is part of the European Youth Campus project week, an international youth project titled "GiveEUvoice".
The European Youth Campus is hosting young people from seven European countries: France, Spain, Greece, Poland, North Macedonia, Slovakia, and Cyprus. The discussion will prioritize direct, eye-level dialogue, with youth presenting their ideas, wishes, and demands directly to representatives from politics, administration, and civil society.
Dr. Miriam Mikus, chamberlain of our city portal, and Arne Brand, chairman of the Lippische Society for Politics and Contemporary History, are among the panelists at the event. Dr. Thorsten Hasche from the city of Duisburg will also be present.
The panel discussion will primarily focus on the ideas and experiences of the young people participating. The aim is to discuss how youth participation can be made more effective, both in Detmold and at the European level.
Admission to the event is free and no registration is required. The discussion is open to anyone interested in dialogue with the younger generation and committed to Europe's future.
The search results do not provide the names of the young participants from Detmold. However, they are encouraged to participate and share their perspectives.
The European Youth Campus aims to discuss political participation, European cooperation, and future prospects with local youth. The event is taking place from July 23 to July 28 in Detmold.
So, mark your calendars for July 27, starting at 9:30 AM, and join the conversation on youth participation at the Detmold Town Hall. Let's hear the voices of the future shaping our shared tomorrow.
