We are pleased to announce that the in-person voting documents for the upcoming municipal and integration council elections in 2025 will be available starting Tuesday, August 5, at the town hall, room 101, KΓΆlner Str. 75.
Here are the office hours for in-person voting:
- Monday: 08:30 - 12:30
- Tuesday: 08:30 - 16:30
- Wednesday: 08:30 - 16:30
- Thursday: 08:30 - 16:30
- Friday: 08:30 - 12:30 (extended to 3 pm on September 12)
- Saturday: 08:30 - 12:30
Please note that the office hours for in-person voting on Tuesday and Thursday are longer than on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. The office hours for in-person voting on September 12 have extended hours compared to other Fridays.
For those unable to attend the polling station on election day, mail-in voting is an option. Applications for mail-in voting for both the municipal election and the integration council election are now available. The mail-in voting application link is provided below.
To participate in the integration council election, you must meet certain requirements such as having foreign roots or a foreign passport. Eligible voters in the 2025 German integration council elections include foreign nationals, naturalized Germans, people who acquired German citizenship by birth to foreign parents, stateless persons, and recognized refugees who are at least 16 years old, have lived legally in Germany for at least one year, and have had their main residence in the respective municipality at least 16 days before the election; asylum seekers are excluded. Voting can be done in person or via postal vote if the voter cannot attend the polling station on election day.
The integration council election will determine representatives for the integration council. The municipal election will determine representatives for the city council, county council, mayor, and landrat/landratin.
Remember, only apply for mail-in voting for the election you are eligible to participate in. In-person voting documents will be available at the town hall, room 101, KΓΆlner Str. 75, during the specified office hours.
