In the town of Menden, located within the Märkischer Kreis region, a tragic incident occurred on August 22, 2025. A 45-year-old man lost his life in a shooting, and another individual, aged 49, was seriously injured. The suspect in this case, Kenan Mehovic, a 40-year-old man, remains at large.

Kenan Mehovic, a local resident of Menden with Serbian-Montenegrin citizenship, is believed to be the perpetrator in this targeted attack. The victims were craftsmen who had reportedly had a dispute with him. Witnesses also reported a potential third victim who was attacked by the suspect but managed to flee the scene. The identity or injury status of this individual remains unknown at this time.
