In an unexpected turn of events, Israeli singer David D'Or was splashed with red paint during a moving performance of the Holocaust survivor anthem at the United Nations. The incident occurred during the performance of Avinu Malkeinu, a prayer that added a poignant touch to the event.

D'Or, visibly shaken, asked the audience to close their eyes and pray for the people of Israel. The audience, initially stunned, soon joined in a powerful rendition of the anthem, their voices filling the hall with a sense of unity and resilience.

The use of red paint has become a common method in vandalism against Israeli and Jewish targets, with businesses and politicians seen as supporting Israel also being attacked in this manner. The activist who threw the red paint, a pro-Palestinian Arab, was swiftly removed by security guards.

Following the incident, D'Or was immediately taken to his plane and returned to Israel. Despite the deep sorrow he felt for the situation, he managed to pull himself together and encourage the audience at the end of the performance.

Inside Israel, the Chief of Staff's house was recently vandalized with red paint. Graffiti against the continuation of the war was also found at the scene. The unknown perpetrators have yet to be identified, with the vandalism attributed to an unspecified group or individual.

The concert, disrupted by the incident, was otherwise a powerful display of Israeli arts at the UN. The setlist looked stained with blood due to the red paint, but the performance was a testament to the resilience and strength of the Israeli people.

D'Or, a Holocaust survivor anthem performer, continues to use his platform to promote peace and unity, reminding us all of the importance of standing together in times of adversity.
