Raging inferno in Leipzig's eastern districts

In the early hours of Monday night into Tuesday morning, Leipzig experienced two separate fires in the Sellerhausen-StĂŒnz district. The first fire occurred at StĂŒnz-Mölkauer-Way, where a garden house burst into flames. Shortly after midnight, another fire broke out in two sheds, with one located at an unspecified location in the same district.

The fires, which occurred in the east of the city, posed a challenge for the fire department due to the dense vegetation. Despite making four attempts, they struggled to extinguish the blaze completely. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during either incident.

The second fire, like the first, occurred between Monday night and Tuesday morning. The location of the second fire was in the Sellerhausen-StĂŒnz district, similar to the first one. The dense vegetation continued to pose a challenge for the fire department in the second fire.

In response to the second fire, the police in Leipzig have taken up the investigation into the cause of the fire in the Sellerhausen-StĂŒnz district. A fire cause investigator (Brandursachenermittler) has been deployed to determine the origin of the blaze. Meanwhile, the cause of the second fire remains under investigation.

The first fire, which occurred at StĂŒnz-Mölkauer-Way, involved a single garden house. The fires in two sheds, one at StĂŒnz-Mölkauer-Way and the second at an unspecified location, were both extinguished by the fire department.

The police are also investigating the cause of the initial fire. With both incidents now under investigation, the authorities aim to determine the cause and prevent any further incidents in the future.
