Real Estate Endowment Projects Valued at AED 23 Million Successfully Completed by Awqaf Dubai
Awqaf Dubai, the Endowments and Minors' Trust Foundation in Dubai, has announced a series of new projects that are set to benefit various sectors of society. The new initiatives, worth over AED 23 million, are part of Awqaf Dubai's philanthropic investments and are in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for sustainable development and community wellbeing.
The new projects include shopping centres, residential complexes, and multi-purpose buildings, all scheduled for completion by the end of next year. One of the projects, the Al Warqa Shops Endowment, is dedicated to mosque affairs, while another, a residential villas endowment, has been launched in partnership with the Dubai Charity Association. The revenues from this project will fund humanitarian, educational, and healthcare initiatives.
His Excellency Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Awqaf Dubai, stated that the projects reflect the foundation's commitment to developing assets that benefit vital sectors of society. He emphasised that Awqaf Dubai is focused on preserving donor assets and ensuring optimal investment returns.
In addition to these, an endowment for government employees has been introduced, with proceeds directed to general charitable initiatives. An additional villa endowment will channel its proceeds toward charitable purposes. The new home ownership endowments to be completed by Awqaf Dubai and the Dubai Charity Association in the rest of 2025 are named "Endowment of the Noble House" and "Endowment of the Generous Home."
Al Mutawa highlighted the importance of these projects in contributing to community wellbeing. Proceeds from the new projects will be dedicated to education initiatives, social services, healthcare initiatives, and mosque affairs. The secretary general reiterated his commitment to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision for a sustainable and prosperous Dubai.
These projects mark a significant step forward in Awqaf Dubai's mission to empower communities and promote a culture of giving. The foundation continues to play a crucial role in shaping Dubai's future, one project at a time.
