Volvo has recently unveiled an updated version of its popular XC60 compact crossover. The latest enhancements are more substantial and are anticipated to debut in the US for the 2026 model year.

The infotainment system in the updated XC60 is powered by a more advanced Qualcomm chip, making it twice as responsive as before. The infotainment touchscreen has been enlarged to 11.2 inches, offering a clearer and more user-friendly experience. The display's clarity is further enhanced by a 21% higher pixel density.

The XC60 will cater to buyers who prefer traditional powertrains. The U.S. offerings for the XC60 still include a 247-hp gas-powered B5 variant and a 445-hp plug-in hybrid T8 model. The new XC60 will continue to be sold alongside an electric model, the EX60, which is expected to debut in 2026.

Other exterior changes for the XC60 include a redesigned grille with a pattern borrowed from the updated XC90 for the 2025.5 model year. The vehicle also features darkened taillights and the addition of new color and wheel options.

Premium options for the updated XC60 include a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, noise-reducing laminated windows, and an available air suspension system. New sustainable materials have been introduced in the cabin, reflecting Volvo's commitment to environmental sustainability.

The current S60 exits the U.S. market after the 2025 model year and isn't expected to return. However, the EX30 Cross Country and an updated S60 sedan are among the five new or refreshed Volvo models arriving this year.

In addition to the updated XC60, Volvo will introduce the new EX60 electric SUV and updated versions of the XC90 and other models in 2026. The manufacturer of the updated XC60, which is expected to debut in the US around the 2026 model year, is Volvo.

The XC60 will continue to be a strong contender in the compact crossover market, offering a blend of style, performance, and advanced technology to cater to discerning buyers.
