Rehabilitation Initiated in Wörth District from July 28th

The renovation of the Wörth roundabout, a crucial traffic junction in the eastern Landkreis of Landshut, began on July 21, 2025. This full renovation, expected to be completed by approximately September 19, 2025, will be carried out using concrete construction to minimize future renovations.

The decision to carry out the renovation using concrete construction was made by the responsible architectural and construction authorities involved in the project planning. The construction costs for the entire roundabout renovation are approximately 1.5 million euros.

The roundabout serves as a connector between the industrial areas "Wörth an der Isar" and "Luitpoldpark," and also serves as a feeder road to the "Wörth a. d. Isar" exit of the A92 motorway. Due to deformations and cracks in the asphalt surface, a full renovation in concrete construction is now planned.

The roundabout's renovation will include the entire roundabout, including the bypass from the motorway towards the "Luitpoldpark" street. After the construction work is completed, a separate entrance on Siemensstraße will connect the parking lot to the roundabout.

The nearby commuter parking lot will be closed throughout the construction period. Detours will be signposted during the closure of the roundabout, and traffic can be rerouted through the already renovated roundabout without further closure during the first phase of construction.

The closure of the roundabout will last throughout the summer holidays and end on September 19, 2025. The second phase of construction, focusing on the bypass, will commence on September 22 and end on October 24.

The renovation of the roundabout in 2009, using traditional methods, did not address the current issues with deformations and cracks, necessitating the current renovation. This full renovation is expected to increase the longevity of the facility and reduce the need for future renovations.

The roundabout surface was last renovated in 2009, but the deformations and cracks in the asphalt necessitate a full renovation in concrete construction to minimize future renovations. The renovation of the roundabout in Wörth commenced on July 21, 2025, and the community is advised to plan their travels accordingly during this period.
