102 New Police Officers and Four Administrative Officials Join Bochum Police Headquarters
In a significant boost to the safety of citizens in Bochum, Herne, and Witten, 102 new police officers and four administrative officials have started their service at the Police Headquarters in Bochum. The new recruits took their oath of service at a ceremonial welcome on September 1st, presided over by Police President Christine FrΓΌcht.
Of the new officers, 53 have been immediately deployed to reinforce the shift and patrol service across the three cities. Among them, 35 are stationed in Bochum, 10 in Herne, and 8 in Witten. The remaining officers have been with the police for a while and have transferred from other authorities to the Police Headquarters in Bochum.
The new officers will be distributed among various departments. Twenty-one will serve with the local Criminal Police, 21 with the Ready Police, five with the State Cavalry Unit, and one with the Traffic Police. Five officers have also joined the ranks to serve with the Directorate of Central Tasks (Administration).
The new commissioners include 60 newly appointed officers who have recently completed their dual studies. They join the force with a fresh perspective and a commitment to uphold the law and ensure the safety of the community.
Police President Christine Frucht welcomed the new recruits, expressing her gratitude for their dedication to serving the public. She emphasised the importance of their role in maintaining law and order and protecting the citizens of Bochum, Herne, and Witten.
