Charles Warner Ingram, a man from Philadelphia, Mississippi, was reported missing after his release from the Neshoba County Detention Facility on August 14, 2025. Ingram had been incarcerated from July 13, 2025, and was last seen at the facility on August 16.

Authorities became aware of Ingram's disappearance on August 16 due to a delay in processing and communication following his release from prison at 2:00 PM on August 14. On the same day, a man mowing his lawn in the Fork Community, Mississippi, made the gruesome discovery of Ingram's body on a farm property approximately a half-mile west of Highway 15.

The body was partially decomposed, and the Mississippi Forensics Laboratory identified Ingram through his fingerprints. Initial reports from police suggested that Ingram had been on the property for an extended period, possibly up to 4 to 6 weeks.

Investigators are currently looking into Ingram's potential cause of death and how he ended up on the property where he was found. The Neshoba County Sheriff's Office, the Neshoba County medical examiner, and Mississippi Bureau of Investigations officers canvassed the area for clues or evidence.

Despite an initial 20-day search effort for a man who went missing while hiking in Wyoming, no further information was provided about that case. The identity of the man who made the discovery in Mississippi was not publicly revealed.

On August 16, Ingram was caught on camera walking to the jail and drinking water from the fountain before leaving on foot, traveling toward Highway 15. The ongoing investigation into Ingram's death is currently ongoing.
