In the realm of pop culture and art, two worlds collide with the upcoming exhibition, "Shadowboxers: Round 1," by artist Jayson Weidel. The event, which will take place at the Miamisburg Art Gallery on Main Street, Miamisburg, OH, on Monday, September 8, from 4 to 9 p.m. ET, promises a visual feast for fans of Marvel, Star Wars, Star Trek, DC Universe, and Doctor Who.

Weidel's exhibition is a testament to his passion for all things geeky. Each handcrafted piece, whether framed or unframed, is a reflection of his own memories, a nod to something he loved, laughed at, or obsessed over. The framed pieces, which include the artwork and frame as part of the art, range from the complex to the subtle, offering a diverse array of characters and scenes.

The exhibition features 28 such framed pieces, each containing usually two sketch cards with a painted backdrop and custom frame. In addition, 60 individual, original sketch cards will be sold in sets of two, offering more characters for those who prefer a more intimate collection.

Weidel is also releasing a book, "Shadowboxers: Round 1," to accompany the exhibition. The book, authored by Jürgen Klauke, offers an in-depth look into the process, final images, and development of ideas for the exhibition.

For those unable to attend the physical event, the exhibition can be viewed online at www.oo-de-lally.com, starting September 8 at 4 p.m. ET. The online exhibition will provide the same immersive experience, allowing fans from around the world to enjoy Weidel's work.

Purchasing the framed pieces provides a little extra value, as individual frames are not necessary. Moreover, the unframed sketch cards offer a more affordable option for collectors. The exhibition will be available for purchase both at the gallery and online.

As Weidel works on Round 2, "Shadowboxers: Round 1" serves as a glimpse into the mind of an artist who has taken his love for pop culture and transformed it into a unique and captivating exhibition. Whether you're a fan of art, pop culture, or both, this exhibition is not to be missed.
