Renault's fresh ALPINE Manufacturing Facility unveiled; UK dealerships for ALPINE cars confirmed

The Renault Alpine A110 Premier Edition, priced around £50,000, marks the beginning of car production at the company's new plant in Dieppe, France. This sports car, a potential competitor for the Porsche Cayman, was unveiled earlier this year as Renault revived the Alpine brand.

Renault partnered with Caterham in 2015 to build a range of Alpine sports cars at the Dieppe facility. The Alpine A110, with its 1.8 litre turbo delivering 248bhp, promises 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds, thanks to its low weight.

The production of the Alpine A110 is being increased by a third due to its success. Customers who reserved the Première Edition versions of the new Alpine A110 will be the first to collect their cars from the Alpine Centres, which are set to open across the UK.

Vincent Tourette, Renault's UK MD, announced the Alpine Sales Network in the UK, with the first Alpine Centre, Studio Alpine London, opening in Q2 2018. The Alpine Network for the UK includes six additional outlets in Glasgow, Manchester, Orpington, Solihull, St Albans, and Winchester, which will open in 2018.

Interestingly, the Alpine A110-50, a model being developed with Caterham, is not yet available for purchase or production. Meanwhile, the Alpine A110 can be reserved online using a downloadable App.

The sports car niche that the Alpine A110 enters is perhaps the least populated, making it an exciting addition to the market. With the opening of new Alpine dealers across the UK, car enthusiasts can look forward to experiencing this new offering from Renault.
