In a series of unfortunate events, several crimes have been reported in Ravensburg and the surrounding areas over the past few days.
Love-Scamming and Sextortion Warnings
The police in the region have issued a warning against transferring money to supposed internet acquaintances, particularly in cases of "Love-Scamming" and "Sextortion." Perpetrators often build an emotional bond with victims through social media and threaten to publish nude photos if the victim does not send more money. Victims have suffered financial losses, with one individual losing several hundred euros due to such scams.
Burglaries and Thefts
In Bad Waldsee, unknown perpetrators broke into a company building in Rudolf-Diesel-Straße over the weekend and stole cash from a cash register. The Bad Waldsee Police Post is currently investigating the case.
Similarly, tools worth around 5,000 euros were stolen from a company vehicle in St.-Martinus-Weg, Ravensburg, between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning. The Ravensburg Police Station is seeking information about the perpetrators and the whereabouts of the stolen goods.
In a separate incident, perpetrators broke into a house in Bad Waldsee, but the police have yet to release details about the stolen items.
Road Accidents
On Monday, a 20-year-old motorcyclist was severely injured in a traffic accident on the K 7989 between Hannober and Amtzell. Another motorcyclist was involved in a side-on collision on Monday evening on the L 265 between Kißlegg and Rempertshofen. One rider suffered severe injuries and was airlifted to a hospital, while the other sustained moderate injuries.
Vehicle Vandalism
In Leutkirch, an unknown perpetrator smashed the passenger window of a VW parked behind the town hall in the Marktstraße, causing several hundred euros in damage. The search results do not provide information about the name of the perpetrator who broke the window panes of a WV on Marktstraße behind the town hall in Leutkirch on Monday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Impersonation Scam
Impersonators claiming to be Microsoft employees gained access to an 80-year-old's online banking last week in Isny. For more information on police-related issues, visit www.polizei-beratung.de.
The police in Fronreute are currently investigating a case of fraud and extortion where an unidentified individual transferred a five-figure sum to unknown perpetrators over the past few weeks.
