Request for applications for a women-focused vocational training center in the Black Forest-Baar-Heuberg region

The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg has announced a funding call for the operation of a Contact Point Woman and Career in the region of Black Forest-Baar-Heuberg. The funding period will be from 1st January 2026 to 31st December 2027.

Origins and Focus

The basis for the State Programme Contact Points Woman and Career was laid by the Ministerial Council's resolution of 17th January 1994 on the "Concept for the Establishment of Contact Points Woman and Career". These contact points focus on key areas such as work, economy, equality, and integration.

Role and Importance

Contact Points Woman and Career serve as central points of contact for women entering, re-entering, orienting, advancing, and founding a business. They are considered important by Minister of Economic Affairs and Labour Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, who believes they make a significant contribution to the future in the Black Forest-Baar-Heuberg region.

The Contact Points Woman and Career play a crucial role in supporting the successful professional integration and development of women through a reliable, low-threshold, and holistic counseling and information offer. They are an important link between female skilled workers and the regional economy.

The Goal

The State Programme's goal is to support and expand the securing of skilled workers of women for the economy, as well as equal opportunities and integration into the labour market. This is particularly relevant in the context of the high demand for skilled workers in future industries due to the transformation of the economy, digitalization, and the use of artificial intelligence.

Application Process

Interested organizations can submit funding applications to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism by 30th September 2025. However, no relevant information has been found regarding the organization that will operate the Contact Point Woman and Career in the Black Forest-Baar-Heuberg region starting January 1, 2026.

Potential for Skilled Workers

It's worth noting that the labor market integration and employment of women with a migration background is significantly lower than that of women without migration experience. However, there is great potential for skilled workers in this area. The State Programme Contact Points Woman and Career has existed since 1994 and aims to exploit this potential and promote the equality of women in the profession.

Current Funding

Currently, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism funds nine counselling facilities with ten different carriers and a service and coordination centre.

For more information, interested parties can contact the Ministry's press office via email or use the citizen representative contact form available on their website.
