In the vibrant city of Hamburg, a 75-year-old woman named Ileana has found a new lease on life. Hailing from Suceava, Romania, Ileana is now a vendor for the local street magazine, Hinz&Kunzt. This change has marked a significant shift in her life, as she no longer has to beg for a living.

Ileana's story is intertwined with that of her family. Her husband, Ilie Lupu, was a street musician in Germany, earning a better living than they did in Romania. Their livelihood back home consisted of a pig, a cow, and corn for polenta. The family's eldest child, Lacramioara, used to play the accordion for change in Hamburg, while her coins secured the livelihood of their children back in Romania.

Tragedy struck the Lupu family when their youngest daughter died at four years old after a house fire. Ilie, who also suffered from Hepatitis C, passed away as a result of the illness. Despite these hardships, Lacramioara found the strength to overcome her diagnosis of Hepatitis C and a tumor in her liver, miraculously surviving the illness.

Lacramioara now works as a cleaner in a tennis club and lives in a small house in Krupunder with her family. Her son, Ramonel, moved to Hamburg when he was 15 years old. Initially, Ramonel's talent was just enough for street music, but he was too shy to entertain people. With the help of Ana-Maria Ilisiu and Cristina Stanculescu, Ramonel learned German, secured his secondary school diploma, found a job, and even got their first own apartment in Hamburg.

Ramonel is currently learning to be a hairdresser in a salon in Eppendorf. Ileana, on the other hand, finds joy and recognition in her role as a Hinz&Kunzt vendor. Wearing the Hinz&Kunzt ID is an honor for Ileana, and the recognition from her customers does her good. Many people in Hamburg know and buy magazines from her, with some being her regular customers.
