Mail-In Voting

Mail-in ballots can be obtained in person at the City Office in Neheim and the central election office in the Old Town Hall in Arnsberg. Alternatively, residents can apply for mail-in ballots by sending an application to the Arnsberg City Election Office.

Mail-in ballot applications can also be submitted online using the link https://kurzlinks.de/BriefwahlArnsberg. A QR code on the voting notification leads to the online application for mail-in ballots.

If you prefer a written application, you can use the application printed on the back of the voting notification.

Outside of Arnsberg, post delivery times can take up to three days, so voting envelopes from outside should be sent by Tuesday, September 9. For residents within the city of Arnsberg, it is recommended to send the voting envelopes by latest Thursday, September 11, to ensure timely arrival at the voting office.

The deadline for submitting the red voting envelopes is Sunday, September 14, at 4 pm. All municipal mailboxes will be emptied for the last time before counting.

Mail-in ballots can be placed in the yellow mailboxes of the German Post or in one of the municipal mailboxes without postage. Locations of the municipal mailboxes: City Office Neheim, Administrative Building Goethestraße 16-18, City Library Hüsten, Old Town Hall Arnsberg, and Grundschule Oeventrop.

Proxy Voting

The pick-up of proxy vote letters for personal voting in the Neheim city administration and in the Rittersaal in the Old Town Hall in Arnsberg generally requires an appointment. Without an appointment, access or pickup may not be possible or allowed.
