Residential Building in POL-PDMY Burst into Flames
In the heart of Lahr, a significant incident occurred on May 12, 2025, as a house fire ravaged the main street. The upper floor and roof of the building were completely destroyed, but thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
A total of 74 personnel from six fire departments - Kastellaun, MoΜrsdorf, Beltheim, Lahr, Lieg, and Zilshausen - are working tirelessly to extinguish the flames, with the aid of a turntable ladder. The German Red Cross and the police are also on the scene, ensuring the safety of the community.
