Return of Healthy Rookie FB Jacob Bond for B.C. Lions in Match against Argonauts

The B.C. Lions are preparing for a crucial matchup against the Toronto Argonauts this Saturday, with the game set to take place at BMO Field at 3:00 p.m. EDT. The contest will be broadcast on TSN and CTV in Canada, and CFL+ internationally.

The Lions, who currently hold a record of 5-5, are coming off a 36-18 win over the Montreal Alouettes, while the Argonauts suffered a 28-20 loss against the Edmonton Elks.

Rookie Canadian fullback Jacob Bond will join the Lions' lineup this week after missing last week's game due to a thigh injury. Bond, a converted linebacker, has appeared in four games for the Lions. To make room for Bond, rookie offensive lineman Alex Berwick has been returned to the practice roster.

However, the Lions will have to contend with a few injuries. Defensive back Jalon Edwards-Cooper remains limited with a knee injury, and defensive tackles Tibo Debaillie and Marcus Moore, as well as receiver Jermaine Jackson, are among the four players on the one-game injured list.

On the other hand, Michael Couture, Tyler Packer, and Adam Auclair are limited participants, potentially returning from the six-game injured list after the bye. All three of Tibo Debaillie, Marcus Moore, and Jermaine Jackson have been full participants in practice and could return at any time.

Unfortunately, Dejon Allen, David Foucault, Isaiah Guzylak-Messam, and Tyler Coyle remain out long-term and ineligible for practice.

The weather forecast in Toronto for the game is a high of 26 degrees, cloudy conditions, and a 30 percent chance of rain.

Radio listeners can tune-in on 730 CKNW in Vancouver and TSN 1050 in Toronto. The game between the B.C. Lions and Toronto Argonauts promises to be an exciting one, with both teams eager to secure a much-needed victory.
