Returning to the Stage Lacks Display of Mourning by Pietro Lombardi

Pietro Lombardi, a 33-year-old singer and juror on the German singing competition show DSDS, took the stage in Bad Elster on Saturday evening, seven days after announcing his separation from his fiancΓ©e, Laura Maria Rypa.

The one-and-a-half-hour show saw Lombardi asking for a romantic vibe and flirting with the audience, according to attendees. However, his performance showed no signs of heartbreak, they reported.

Lombardi has reportedly retreated to his hometown of Karlsruhe, where he is receiving support from family and friends. This separation comes after Rypa stated that they are going in different directions.

Rypa, who announced the separation via Instagram last Sunday, asked for understanding and privacy regarding the matter. Despite the split, the couple put aside their differences for their son Amelio's birthday, which took place on August 27. Amelio is the first child of Lombardi and Rypa, born in January 2023.

Lombardi and Rypa also share a second son, born in August 2024. Lombardi's other son, Alessio (10), is from his previous relationship with singer Sarah Engels.

Before returning to the spotlight, Lombardi celebrated Amelio's first birthday with his ex-fiancΓ©e on August 22. The couple has decided not to say more about the separation publicly.

Pietro Lombardi and Laura Maria Rypa were engaged since 2022 and prepared a concert together with Wincent Weiss before Lombardi's performance in Bad Elster.
