Revenue of Conet surpasses 300 million euros mark
In the ever-evolving landscape of the digital industry, Conet, a renowned IT service provider founded in 1987, continues to make significant strides.
Martin Wibbe took over the reins of Conet in April 2024, and under his leadership, the company has been on a growth trajectory. Wibbe reported that Conet has expanded recruitment and created new jobs, contributing positively to the current economic situation. The company currently employs around 2,000 people.
Conet's growth in 2024 was not just organic but also in tandem with Adesso and Datagroup. The company's success has been marked by strategic partnerships with leading technology providers such as AWS, Microsoft, SAP, Eset, Hornetsecurity, Sophos, and Cisco.
In a bid to further accelerate its growth, Conet launched the growth initiative "Horizon28" in September 2024. While there is no publicly available information about the companies Conet plans to acquire under this program, acquisitions could potentially provide a boost to the company's targeted growth.
The "Horizon28" strategy paper states that these acquisitions could help Conet reach its ambitious goal of increasing its revenue to half a billion euros by 2028.
Conet's expansion has been geographically diverse, with eleven branches in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, and Croatia, as of 2025. The company moved its headquarters to Bonn in 2023.
In the financial realm, Conet closed the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, with a record revenue of 305 million euros. The company aims to hire 400 new specialists in 2025 to support its continued growth.
The federal government's creation of a new digital ministry is seen as a positive step by Conet. The company's CFO, Daniela Bünger, expects increased demand for IT services, with cloud and AI providing additional impetus.
In April 2025, Conet sold its UCRS communication solution for control centers to Hexagon. This move allows Conet to focus more on its core business and further its mission to drive digital transformation in the defense sector and with public administration.
Kai Drücker joined Conet as the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) on August 1, 2024, and Daniela Bünger took over the position of CFO on February 1, 2025. Both executives bring valuable expertise and insights to help Conet navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.
As Conet looks towards the future, it is well-positioned to lead the charge in digital transformation, contributing to a more connected and efficient world.
