Rief assumes control over the project management for the D21 digital index
Simon Rief, a seasoned professional with a background in theater management and digital transformation, has been appointed as the new project leader for the D21-Digital-Index study at Initiative D21. This change will take effect from June, as Roland Dathe, the previous project leader, prepares to go on parental leave.
Rief's appointment follows a six-year stint as a theater manager at Yorck Kino in Berlin. During this time, he played a significant role in the digital transformation of the theater's internal processes, demonstrating his expertise in this area. He also gained valuable experience in event management, a skill set that will undoubtedly prove beneficial in his new role.
Before joining Initiative D21 on April 1st, Rief completed his Master's degree in Film and Television Production at Potsdam and his Bachelor's degree in Television Production and Journalism in Munich. His educational background, coupled with his practical experience, makes him an ideal candidate for the role.
In his new position, Rief will be responsible for managing projects and events for the D21-Digital-Index study. The role is currently vacant following Roland Dathe's departure, and a successor has yet to be announced.
Roland Dathe, who has been the project leader for the D21-Digital-Index study since its inception, will be going on parental leave from June. We wish him all the best during this time and look forward to his return.
Rief's experience in both theater management and digital transformation is expected to bring a unique perspective to Initiative D21, contributing to the continued success of the D21-Digital-Index study. We are excited to see what the future holds under his leadership.
