On September 5, 2025, a traffic accident occurred on the A20 between Kröpelin and Neukloster in the direction of Lübeck. The incident involved a Mercedes and a Seat car, leading to the complete destruction of both vehicles with an estimated total damage of 35,000 EUR.
Luckily, both drivers, aged 37 and 38, sustained only slight injuries. Emergency services were quick to respond, with rescue helicopters deployed as a precaution. Both drivers were taken to nearby hospitals by RTWs.
