The city of Greifswald is set to undergo a significant network expansion in Kapaunenstraße, with works scheduled to begin on or around August 25, 2025. The Greifswald City Construction Department has been appointed as the responsible party for this project, which is expected to last approximately three and a half months.
During the construction, Kapaunenstraße will be fully closed between Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße and Lange Straße. Access to Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße will be rerouted via Wollweberstraße. To facilitate traffic flow, the one-way street regulation in Wollweberstraße will be changed and marked appropriately.
It is important to note that the heat and water supply in Kapaunenstraße will remain unaffected during the works. Greifswald Utilities have emphasized the necessity of these measures to ensure the long-term reliability of the network.
