A 27-year-old man from Hanau has been charged with robbery following an incident in Mittelbuchen on August 23, 2025. The incident occurred around 9:20 PM on the field path at An der Goldgrube.

According to a report made by RENKER, PvD in Offenbach am Main, a 22-year-old woman from Hanau was ambushed during the street robbery. The woman successfully defended herself against the robber, striking him and shouting for help. Nearby people, who were alerted by her cries, held the robber until the police arrived.

The robber, known to police, demanded the woman's handbag but was resisted by her. After the struggle, he was given outpatient treatment for his injuries before police procedures. The 27-year-old was released after giving a blood sample.
