Rory McIlroy's Victory Equipment in the Irish Open
Rory McIlroy Wins Amgen Irish Open at The K Club
Rory McIlroy has added another trophy to his collection, winning the Amgen Irish Open at The K Club. This is his second Irish Open title, and the victory comes after a five-month drought since his Masters win at Augusta National in April.
McIlroy's win at The K Club is a significant positive for the Northern Irish golfer, marking his fourth victory of 2025. He has already claimed the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Players Championship, and Masters titles this year.
During the tournament, McIlroy used a TaylorMade Qi10 driver with a 9° head set at 7.5° and a Fujikura Ventus Black 6 X shaft. His fairway woods were the TaylorMade Qi10 in 15° and 18°, with Fujikura Ventus Black 8 X and 9X shafts respectively. McIlroy has been using TaylorMade clubs since signing with them in 2017.
In the putting department, McIlroy relies on his trusty TaylorMade Spider Tour X putter, a tool he has had since 2024. Despite not having a specific putting coach or advisor named in the reports, McIlroy's caddies assisted him at the putting greens throughout the tournament.
McIlroy's iron game has been consistent, using a set of TaylorMade Rors Proto irons from 5-iron through to 9-iron since 2017. He also uses a TaylorMade P760 4-iron with a Project X 7.0 shaft during tournaments.
McIlroy's wedge game is equally strong, with a 46°, 50°, 54°, and 60° in his bag, all fitted with Project X Rifle 6.5 shafts. Notably, prior to the Irish Open, McIlroy swapped out his TaylorMade MG4 wedges for MG5s.
The TaylorMade TP5 golf ball, with a RORS stamp, has been instrumental in McIlroy's success this year, helping him win four tournaments, including the Irish Open. McIlroy switched from the TaylorMade TP5x golf ball to the TP5 at the start of 2025.
The Rors Protos were part of a custom series of golf irons made for TaylorMade staff players, including Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose. This custom series has clearly proven to be a successful choice for McIlroy, as he continues to dominate the golfing world.
With four victories under his belt in 2025, McIlroy is showing no signs of slowing down. As he looks towards the future, fans can expect to see more impressive performances from the Northern Irish golfer.
