Royal trainer, Ed Walker, begins coaching for the Monarch's very first jogger.

In the world of horse racing, two trainers and their stars, Ed Walker and John and Thady Gosden, have been making headlines with their impressive performances.

Ed Walker, who is preparing for his royal debut, has seen his first runner, Lightning Polka, make a triumphant start. The filly won on her debut in a 6f fillies' novice race, impressing Walker and the spectators alike. The King and Queen, who have given Walker a good horse to start with, will undoubtedly be pleased with the promising beginning.

Kieran Shoemark, the jockey for Lightning Polka in the race, was praised by Walker for his excellent ride. The filly was held up towards the rear and made smooth headway two furlongs out, eventually hitting the front inside the final half-furlong and quickening clear from the field. This win marked Shoemark's 13th winner in the past fortnight, a remarkable achievement.

Meanwhile, Colin Keane, the jockey for Legacy Link, a Dubawi filly trained by John and Thady Gosden, has also been making waves. Keane recently gained a first win at Haydock on Juddmonte's filly, Legacy Link. Keane expressed his confidence in the filly, stating that she is well-bred and feels very progressive, with plenty of improvement to come.

Legacy Link's recent victory in the mile fillies' novice race was a smooth one, as she made all for a comfortable victory. Colin Keane even suggested that Legacy Link could end up competing in the Fillies' Mile, a prestigious Group 1 race. In fact, Legacy Link has already been entered in the race.

The filly warmed up for a ride on Arc favourite Kalpana in Saturday's September Stakes, suggesting that she is in fine form. Keane's optimism about Legacy Link's potential is shared by Walker, who believes that his runners usually improve a lot, implying that Lightning Polka and Legacy Link will continue to impress.

On a different note, Will Draper achieved one of the most notable recent victories by winning the European Championship in his long-distance debut at the Challenge Almere-Amsterdam 2025 event. His triumph is a testament to his talent and dedication.
