Exam Overview
The RRB Group D Exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) aimed at selecting candidates for Level 1 posts in the Indian Railways. The exam duration is 90 minutes and consists of subjects such as General Science, Mathematics, General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning.
Exam Dates and Shifts
The RRB Group D Exam 2025 will be conducted between November 17 and End of December 2025, across various cities in India. The exam will be held in three shifts daily.
Admit Card and City Intimation Slip
Candidates will be able to download the RRB Group D Admit Card 2025 4 days before each candidate's scheduled CBT exam date. The RRB Group D City Intimation Slip 2025, an important document, will inform candidates about their city of examination and will be released 10 days before the candidate's scheduled CBT date. Both the Admit Card and City Intimation Slip will contain the exact RRB Group D exam centre address, shift timing, and reporting instructions.
Selection Process
The RRB Group D exam is the first stage of the selection process. Candidates who clear this exam will proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The RRB Group D PET is designed to assess the physical fitness and endurance of candidates required for Level 1 posts in the Indian Railways. The weight carrying criteria for male candidates is 35 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes, while female candidates must complete the same distance carrying 20 kg in the same time frame.

The total number of notified vacancies for RRB Group D 2025 is 32,438. Approximately 1.08 crore candidates have applied for the examination.
Negative Marking
It's important to note that there is negative marking in the RRB Group D Exam. 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
