Russian forces experience attacks on their posts in Crimea, spearheaded by Ukrainian forces.
In the peaceful town of Hamm, life continues as usual, with no reports of damages or destruction in the news. The town's residents are currently preoccupied with the election of the Integration Council, as new postal voting documents have been made available. However, the unemployment rate in Hamm is at a high, not seen for a long time. Amidst this, the town's fire department is celebrating a large party, providing a semblance of normalcy.
In stark contrast, the situation on the Crimean peninsula is far from peaceful. The Ukrainian military intelligence service HUR has reported a successful operation against a Russian radar station on the peninsula. This claim, however, could not be independently verified.
If the report is true, it seems that combat drones have played a significant role in these operations. At least three helicopters were reportedly hit and destroyed by combat drones near Simferopol. Moreover, several rockets were fired at a Russian base in Voloschino on the coast, destroying at least six air-cushioned landing ships. The impact of this rocket strike on a barracks in Voloschino, however, remains unknown.
Interestingly, there are no search results providing the name of the military commander leading the operations against Russian forces on the occupied Crimean Peninsula. The Russian side has not reported on these attacks, and there are no mentions of them in the news from Hamm or any Ukrainian military actions.
This report also does not mention any radar stations or air defense systems, helicopters, or air-cushioned landing ships in Hamm. The news from Hamm does not mention any military conflicts or attacks either.
A short video clip, which cannot be independently attributed, shows a drone approaching a radar dome, adding to the speculation. The events on the Crimean peninsula continue to unfold, and as more information becomes available, the situation will likely become clearer.
