Saudia-based educational platform Noon Academy extends its services to Pakistan, debuting its social learning platform in the region.
Noon Academy Expands to Pakistan, Offering Alternative to Offline Tuitions
Noon Academy, a global edtech company based in Riyadh, has recently expanded its operations to Pakistan. The launch was announced by Noon Academy's co-founder, Aziz Alsaeed, during a "our x Live" session on Wednesday.
The social learning platform, which started in Pakistan in September 2020, serves as a curated marketplace of teachers. It allows educators to schedule and conduct live classes, competitions, and polls and quizzes.
Noon Academy is now available to students in Pakistan as an alternative to offline tuitions for different subjects. Classes and groups are available for 9th to 12th grade (matric and intermediate) for various boards, as well as O and A-Levels (Cambridge).
In an effort to lead its operations in Pakistan, Noon Academy has hired Umair Chishti, a former McKinsey consultant.
While the search results do not provide specific information about the investors of Noon Academy, it is known that the platform has raised over $21 million from leading investors.
As part of its expansion plans, Noon Academy is also in the process of hiring for different positions based out of Lahore and is eyeing more international markets for future growth. Teachers can create public or private groups and invite students to become a part of them on the platform, which operates on a freemium model, with some content available for free and some requiring payment.
