Mirko Gudra, specialist consultant for scaffolding and craft at Peri Germany, has announced a new training programme designed to provide participants with a combination of legal security and practical experience for increased safety on construction sites. The training, which covers the inspection of work or protective aprons, will take place on three different dates: November 17, 2025, in Weißenhorn, November 19, 2025, in Stockstadt am Rhein, and November 20, 2025, in Berlin.

The training programme, which started in May 2025, consists of e-learning and a presence day at a Peri site. The e-learning covers the legal and technical basics, while the presence day focuses on practical inspection of real scaffold structures. Participants will learn to inspect scaffolds for safety, stability, and standard-compliant execution.

The training is well-received by participants due to its combination of digital and on-site learning. Construction managers, foremen, scaffolding masters, site managers, and safety officers have all participated in the training.

The importance of this training cannot be overstated, as falling accidents are among the most common causes of accidents on construction sites. Legally secure inspection of a working or protective scaffold before use is a duty, not a formality. Inspection is based on legal requirements such as the Betriebssicherheitsverordnung (BetrSichV), the TRBS 1201, and relevant assembly and operating instructions.

The training concludes with a certificate that proves the status of a qualified person. Whoever erects or uses scaffolding bears responsibility for its safety. Therefore, this training offers a valuable opportunity for those involved in the construction industry to ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
