In the heart of Düsseldorf, the Narrencollegium, a group founded over six decades ago, recently hosted a carnival event that was filled with wit, insight, and subtle humour. The event, which took place on an unspecified date, was marked by an excellent atmosphere and a diverse lineup of participants.

The programme was guided by Dennis Vobis, the president of the Narrencollegium. The event kicked off with a special appearance from Prince Felix and his Venetian Ida Marit, the children's prince and princess of the Unterrather Funken. Their entrance was followed by a performance from the Ehrengarde Düsseldorf, adding a touch of tradition to the festivities.

The Golden Boys Gustav and Sven provided the entertainment and interludes, their music adding a lively and festive spirit to the event. Paula Becker from Jülich was another highlight of the evening. She received much applause for her enthusiasm for Killepitsch and her joke about beer drinkers from other cities, which brought laughter and cheer to the crowd.

However, the event was not without its dramas. A disagreement between Vobis and the Venetian over the Narrencollegium's last starting position in the procession led to a moment of tension. Vobis kneeled and apologized, leading to an immediate reconciliation. The Venetian's grumpy appearance, which was a striking feature of the event, remains a mystery, with no concrete public information explaining the reason for her sadness.

Despite the technical issues faced by the Narrencollegium's float, there was good news on the horizon. The float may now receive TÜV approval, ensuring its participation in future events.

The Tanzgarde Blau-Weiß Büderich, the Duo Dubb, the Düsseldorf Bürgerwehr, the Narrische Schmetterlinge, Max Weyers, and the Burggrafenpaar of the Düsseldorf Nordlichter with the Aquila Dance Team were also part of the program, making the event a true carnival spectacle.

The evening concluded with Vobis announcing that he would join Christian Zeelen and former Venetian Ricarda to host the procession from the stage at Corneliusplatz on Rosenmontag, leaving a temporary vacancy on the float. The guests departed with memories of a unique and entertaining carnival celebration.
