In the heart of Essen's Westviertel, an unfortunate incident took place on the evening of July 5th. A 4-year-old girl was severely injured in a collision with an e-scooter near the playground "GrΓΌne Mitte".

The suspect riding the e-scooter fled on foot after the collision. The police are describing the suspect as a male, approximately 14 years old, of Arabic appearance. He was wearing a white baseball cap, a white shirt, and black pants. The suspect fled towards Friedrich-Ebert-StraΓe after abandoning the e-scooter.
