On September 1, 2025, a traffic accident involving a cyclist took place on Elmeloher Straße in Delmenhorst. The incident occurred around 15:45.

According to a 69-year-old cyclist from Delmenhorst, the vehicle involved was a silver small car. The cyclist was riding his bike on a cycle path in the direction of Stenum when he attempted to avoid a vehicle pulling out from a parking space. In doing so, he swerved to the left onto the road.

Despite not colliding with the vehicle, the cyclist lost balance and fell over the kerb, sustaining minor injuries. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and was later discharged.

The driver of the silver small car has not been identified, and the police have not confirmed a collision between the vehicle and the cyclist. The cyclist described the driver as a man aged between 20 and 30 years old.
