Senior Citizens in Voerde offered a complimentary two-day seminar on pedelecs, arranged by the Wesel County Police in Wesel.
In an effort to address a high number of traffic accidents involving cyclists and pedelec riders in the Wesel district, the Circular Police Authority in Wesel is organizing an intensive two-day training seminar titled "Pedelec VOERDE".
The training, which is being offered by the traffic accident prevention team, will take place at the sports facility of SV Friedrichsfeld in Voerde. Participants are required to attend both days of the training, with a time gap in between to allow learned behavioral patterns to be reinforced.
The seminar is focused on training pedelec riders, with a specific focus on a group of riders who are at risk in road traffic. The demand for training, particularly for the 65+ age group, is high in Wesel. As a result, a separate training session for pedelec riders aged 65 and above will take place on September 19 and 23, 2025.
Registration for the training can be made by phone at 0281-107 7777 or by email at [email protected]. The training is offered over two days and is binding due to limited participant places.
Polizeihauptkommissar Henner StΓΆrmer, who has been in charge of the Press and Public Relations department of the Wesel police authority since mid-June 2025, is leading the organization of the seminar. For media inquiries, the Press Office of the Circular Police Authority Wesel can be reached at 0281 / 107-1050, 0281 / 107-1055, or by email at [email protected].
