Seventy-five years of the German Amateur Radio Club e.V.'s existence
Mark your calendars for an exciting day as we celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the German Amateur Radio Club (DARC) in Baunatal. The event will take place on August 30, 2025, in the city's downtown, specifically at the Baunatal city hall and the marketplace.
This event promises to be a day full of technology, community, and exciting discoveries for the whole family. The city hall will host a diverse lecture program, exciting exhibitions, and information booths from associations, clubs, and companies. An exhibition in cooperation with our city's fire department and the department for emergency and crisis communication will showcase the importance of amateur radio in times of crisis.
On the market square, an amateur radio and technology market will be set up for young explorers with many experiments and technical stations. Amateur radio, an official radio service dedicated to personal development, mutual exchange, and technical studies, operated out of personal interest and without commercial intent, connects over 67,500 people in Germany and more than two million radio amateurs worldwide.
The 75th Anniversary Celebration of the German Amateur Radio Club will occur from 10 am to 5 pm, and admission is free. The press release and photos for the DARC event are available on the city's blog. Subscription to the blog is available to receive the latest posts by email. Various sharing options, such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Email, Pocket, Reddit, and Tumblr, are provided for easy dissemination of the news.
