Severe automobile collision in Junkersdorf
In the heart of Cologne-Junkersdorf, a tragic incident unfolded on Max-Planck-Straße on Wednesday afternoon (13th August). A 26-year-old pedestrian was struck by a Fiat Doblo van around 4:45 PM.
Initial findings suggest that the pedestrian may have been wearing headphones at the time of the accident. The pedestrian attempted to cross Max-Planck-Straße and stepped onto the roadway, where they were hit by the van and thrown to the ground.
As a result of the collision, the pedestrian sustained severe head injuries and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The identity of the driver of the Fiat Doblo involved in the accident is not publicly disclosed. The driver, who is 66 years old, has cooperated with the authorities during the ongoing investigation.
