A tragic accident occurred on a road near Weil der Stadt, Circle BΓΆblingen, on September 8, 2025. The incident involved four individuals and resulted in significant damage.
The police are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident, but initial reports suggest that an 84-year-old driver, who was behind the wheel of a Mercedes, veered into oncoming traffic. As a result, he collided head-on with another car.
The 84-year-old driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital via rescue helicopter. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, he passed away the following day. His 80-year-old passenger was also injured in the accident.
The driver of the other car, a 58-year-old individual, and his 54-year-old passenger were also injured in the collision. Their conditions are currently stable.
The accident caused a section of the road to be closed for several hours, heavily affecting the traffic situation in the area. The police have questioned witnesses to gather more information about the incident, and the investigation into the exact cause of the accident is ongoing.
The total damage from the accident is estimated to be around 100,000 euros, although initial estimates suggested it might be closer to 90,000 euros. The police have not released the names of the individuals involved in the accident.
