Shania Twain has experienced numerous complications.

Shania Twain, the iconic Canadian musician, turns 60 this week. Born Eilleen Regina Edwards on August 28, 1965, in Windsor, Ontario, Twain's life has been a rollercoaster ride of triumphs and tribulations.

Twain's childhood was marked by adversity, as she never knew her biological father and experienced a tumultuous upbringing marred by violence and sexual abuse. However, she found solace in music, starting her singing career at the tender age of eight, performing in bars to support her family financially.

Tragedy struck in 1987 when Twain's parents died in a car accident, leaving her to take on the responsibility for her younger siblings and live below the poverty line. Despite these hardships, Twain's determination never wavered. In the early 1990s, she signed her first record deal and chose the stage name Shania, embarking on a journey that would shape an entire genre.

Twain's breakthrough came with her second LP, "The Woman in Me," which won her her first Grammy and was successful in both country and pop charts. The album, released in 1995, catapulted Twain to international stardom and established country-pop in the mainstream.

However, Twain's personal life was not without its challenges. In 2008, she separated from her husband and producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange due to infidelity. The reason for their split was the affair between Lange and Twain's close friend Marie-Anne Thiebaud, who later became Twain's husband's second wife in 2011.

Despite these setbacks, Twain found love again with FrΓ©dΓ©ric Thiebaud, the former husband of her friend Marie-Anne. They married in 2011, and Twain has since found happiness and support in their union.

Twain's health struggles also made headlines in 2003 when she was diagnosed with Lyme disease. The illness caused dizziness, blackouts, and a voice impairment that affected her singing. However, Twain made a remarkable comeback in 2017 with the album "Now."

In 2023, Twain released her latest album, "Queen Of Me," solidifying her status as one of the most successful singers of all time. Twain's unique blend of country and pop has inspired a generation of artists, including Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Harry Styles, and Rihanna.

As Twain celebrates her 60th birthday, she continues to inspire millions with her resilience, talent, and unwavering spirit. Her life story is a testament to the power of music and the human spirit in overcoming adversity.
