Shisha Bar Death in Hamburg Under Investigation for Murder
In the early hours of August 31, a tragic incident unfolded at a shisha bar in the Hamburg district of Hohenfelde. The victim, a 33-year-old man, was found lifeless in the establishment, having suffered a gunshot wound.
The Hamburg police have launched a full-scale investigation, with the homicide division and evidence team on the scene. Investigators walked the area, questioning residents, and sniffer dogs were used in the investigation. The rescue services of the fire department attempted to revive the man, but he later died from his severe injuries.
Witnesses to the shooting have come forward, including vehicle drivers who parked or charged a Tesla at the Ernst-Kabel-Stieg 5a charging station between the evening of August 30 and early morning of August 31, as well as other vehicle drivers with dashcams. However, no specific individual witness names have been publicly disclosed. Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity is asked to contact the police.
The shisha bar has a history of violent incidents. In December, two men were attacked by masked assailants at the same establishment. The six-lane Lübecker Straße and surrounding streets were closed due to a large police presence.
It's worth noting that around three years ago, a 27-year-old man was killed at the same shisha bar with several shots to the face and heart. The reason for the previous murder was disputes in the drug scene, according to the judge in the later trial. However, the identity of the deceased was initially unclear, but he has since been identified.
As of now, no further details about the suspect or the motive for the shooting have been released. The perpetrator of the shooting is still at large. The Hamburg police urge the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
