In the realm of education, Irina Karzhova, the Head of the General Secondary Education Department of the Ministry of Education, has taken a significant step towards maintaining a focused learning environment.

Karzhova has clearly stated a restriction for teachers on using mobile phones during lessons without necessity. The aim of this restriction is to avoid any distractions that might arise from the use of mobile phones, and to ensure that teachers remain focused and undivided in their role as educators and role models for children.

It is important to note that this restriction is not about confiscating teachers' phones. Instead, it is about fostering an environment where both teachers and students can fully immerse themselves in the learning process, free from potential distractions.

Karzhova emphasised that teachers should have the opportunity for emergency contact. The government supports the use of emergency numbers by teachers in emergencies to ensure immediate help can be obtained. Such use is generally encouraged in urgent situations to protect safety and well-being.

In a statement, Karzhova mentioned that the ministry has not received any information about cases of teachers abusing mobile phones during lessons. This suggests that the restriction is a preventative measure, rather than a response to widespread misuse.

It is worth noting that Irina Karzhova, who heads the General Secondary Education Department, is also the Deputy Head of the Main Department of General Secondary and Preschool Education. Her leadership in this area underscores the importance the Ministry of Education places on maintaining a focused and distraction-free learning environment.

This new restriction is a significant step towards ensuring that teachers are not only knowledgeable, but also exemplary role models for the children they teach, providing an environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
