In the vibrant heart of Berlin, a unique community of older men gathers for a monthly series of events known as Black Weekend Berlin. The next instalment, BLACKWEEKEND X, is set to take place from Thursday, October 2nd to Sunday, October 5th, 2025.
At the helm of these events is Olaf, a Berlin resident who organises and hosts the events. His monthly series includes Berlin Cigar Men, an event that has seen some participants, like FJ from the Netherlands, take up smoking cigars due to the influence of others in the community, claiming it has increased their sexual experiences.
Allan, 56, and Thom, 67, both from Glasgow, have been attending these events for 25 years and are in a relationship for 33 years. They, along with others like Ralf, 61, who regularly attends these events, cite the handsome men as their reason for returning.
Oliver, 51, also from Berlin, does not smoke cigars but finds the atmosphere relaxing. He is joined by Marcus, 40, from Beeskow, and Gerhard, 45, from Salzburg, who prefers Berlin for such events due to the city's size.
Steve, 35, is from Ireland, and Jonathan, 44 years old, is currently visiting Berlin with Robert. They attend about 70% of these events. Robert, 63, resides in London but finds nothing in London comparable to Berlin's events.
The men at these events have diverse backgrounds, creating a sense of community that is hard to find elsewhere. Tim, 41, from Derbyshire, may not have a specific connection to the events or individuals, but the allure of Berlin's unique atmosphere brings him to the city.
Uwe, 59, from Berlin, is an occasional host of the events, ensuring that each gathering runs smoothly and that everyone has a memorable experience. Whether it's the camaraderie, the atmosphere, or the opportunity to meet new people, Black Weekend Berlin continues to attract men from all over the world.
