Skyrocketing Avalanche Network Transactions Reach 2.2 Million

The Avalanche blockchain is solidifying its position in the 2025 crypto landscape, with observers viewing its growth as a positive sign for sustainable development. Launched in September 2020, Avalanche has emerged as a scalable Layer-1 blockchain, capable of processing high transaction volumes with finality in under a second.

This rapid transaction speed, coupled with its support for DeFi, games, and NFT projects, has led to a surge in activity on the Avalanche network. On August 30, 2025, the Avalanche blockchain recorded over 2.2 million transactions in 24 hours, the highest since late February 2024.

One of the primary drivers of this increase in activity is the dominance of the stablecoin USDC. In the past month, USDC accounted for 91.61% of all transactions from the top five smart contracts on the Avalanche network. Tether (USDT) is another notable player on the network.

Key platforms like Trader Joe and Kyber, as well as the emerging dApp The Arena, are also active on the Avalanche network. The Arena, a newer project, is contributing to the growing interest in decentralized applications within the Avalanche network.

Institutional investors such as BlackRock with a $53.8 million AVAX stake and SkyBridge Capital tokenizing $300 million in hedge funds on Avalanche are also fuelling the blockchain's growth. Technological upgrades like Octane and Etna significantly reduced fees, boosting attractiveness for enterprises including FIFA and Toyota.

The community has responded positively to these developments, with users increasingly utilizing Avalanche for fast, low-cost payments and developing new decentralized applications. Analysts predict that the entire Avalanche ecosystem, including the native Avalanche token, could benefit from this growth.

The sudden surge on Avalanche could be driven by new subnet launches, liquidity mining incentives, or broader DeFi market participation. As Avalanche continues to grow, it is poised to play a significant role in the 2025 crypto landscape.
